Raksha PDF Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 September 2026
Raksha PDF is an on-device PDF utility. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
App: Raksha PDF
Privacy contact: saifullah4141@gmail.com
Documents and images
Documents and images selected, scanned, created, edited, signed, or converted by the app are processed on the device. Raksha PDF does not upload document files or recognized document text to a server operated by the developer.
The app may store generated documents, saved signatures, Trash items, preferences, and Recent Files references locally on the device. Users can remove these through the app where available, Android’s Clear storage action, or by uninstalling the app. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for the app.
Google ML Kit
Raksha PDF uses Google ML Kit for document scanning, optical character recognition, language identification, and on-device translation. Translation models may be downloaded from Google when a language is used for the first time.
According to Google’s ML Kit disclosure documentation, ML Kit may collect device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, feature input/output size, event types, error codes, identified languages, and configured source/destination languages for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and is not transferred to third parties.

Advertising, subscriptions, and sale of data
Raksha PDF does not require an account. It uses Google Mobile Ads to show an interstitial before the premium purchase screen. Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, advertising data, diagnostics, and interaction data to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Google Play Billing processes subscriptions; payment details are handled by Google Play and are not received or stored by the developer.
The developer does not sell personal data, use document content for advertising, or operate an independent analytics or profiling service.
Sharing
The app shares a file only after the user chooses a share action or saves it to a user-selected location. When a user sends a file to another app or service, that recipient’s privacy practices apply.
Permissions and file access
Raksha PDF uses Android’s system document and photo pickers instead of broad storage access. The app does not request broad photo/video access or all-files access.
The app requests Android’s CAMERA permission only when the user opens New Scan and chooses to allow camera access. Camera access is used for the live scanner preview and to capture pages while the scanner is visible. Raksha PDF does not request microphone access, does not record audio, and does not access the camera in the background. If Camera permission is refused, gallery import and all non-camera tools remain available.
The AI model download
If you choose Ask AI, the app downloads a model file from the URL in ai-manifest.json. That download is the model only. Questions and documents are not sent with it.
Children
Raksha PDF is a general productivity utility and is not specifically directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
Security
The app blocks cleartext network traffic and excludes app-private documents and preferences from Android backup. No method of storage is completely secure, so users should keep sensitive originals in a location they trust and protect access to their device.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
